I love to write contemporary romance, young adult books and some historical romance. Other times it might take me three months. Some books flow really well for me and if I have a lot of writing time, I can write a book in five weeks. Some of my favorites are Weston and Anson from The Endgame, Joey and Gage from Beautiful and Terrible Things, Shane and Van from Depth of Field and Nick and Bryce from Crossroads.ħ – How long does it take you to write one book? Other times I just sit down and try to figure out what kind of book I’m in the mood to write.Ħ – Who is your favorite couple you wrote about? Sometimes a story I hear on the news or a song can give me an idea.

I just look for a photo that I like and that will match the character and story.ĥ – Where did you get the inspiration for the stories? I have older books that I haven’t published but all my newer ones I do.Ĥ – By what do you choose a cover for a book? Some I plan each book and couple out from the start (though I don’t typically know exactly what all their stories are) and others I figure out as I go along.ģ – Did you write a book and decide not to publish it?

Luckily, it wasn’t.Ģ – When you start a book series – do you know the couples who will appear in the following books? Do you know what the plot will be? I’ve always loved writing but it felt like the dream was out of reach. I used to want to write children’s books. I won my first writing contest in elementary school.
